Triennale Milano held today an online meeting with consular delegates in Milan and Lombardy to inform and update countries about the XXIII International Exhibition.
The event gathered representatives of the governments, consulates, embassies and cultural institutes of over 30 countries that are invited to participate in the XXIII International Exhibition of Triennale Milano. Organised under the theme "Unknown Unknowns. An introduction to Mysteries", the XXIII International Exhibition will be held from 20 May to 20 November 2022.

Stefano Boeri, President of Triennale Milano and Dimitri Kerkentzes, Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), addressed attendees in the meeting, alongside Ricardo Duarte, Dean of the Consular Corps, Ersilia Vaudo, curator of the International Exhibition, and Francis Kéré, installation designer.
The President of Triennale Milano stated:"The project developments, proposals and contributions made by the International Participations will be of the greatest importance for the reflections on "Unknown Unknowns". We hope that our invitation will be taken up by countries from every continent, thus bringing a huge wealth of issues, points of view, contexts and sources to the 23rd International Exhibition."
The Secretary General of the BIE indicated:"Diverse and thought-provoking international participation in the XXIII International Exhibition of Triennale Milano will bring a wealth of unique perspectives and viewpoints, deepening its impact and the overall visitor experience. In addressing "Unknown Unknowns", every country can share its own ideas, creations and research, thus contributing to an ongoing and fascinating global discussion."
The XXIII International Exhibition of Triennale Milano was formally recognised by the BIE during its 167th General Assembly on 1 December 2020. As with previous editions, it will be composed of a thematic exhibition and international participation to showcase ideas, projects and research from around the world. Institutions and non-state bodies are also being called upon to contribute towards the exhibits of the XXIII International Exhibition.
