Ten Years: Dream Towards Future -- Image Exhibition for 10th Anniversary of Expo 2010 Shanghai

  In honor of the 10th anniversary for the successful holding of the Expo 2010 Shanghai, the Ten Years: Dream Towards Future -- Image Exhibition for 10th Anniversary of Expo 2010 Shanghai will be launched in World Expo Museum on Oct. 31, 2020, jointly by the World Expo Museum, the Shanghai Issue Coordination Center for World Cities’ Day, the Compiling Committee Office of Shanghai World Expo Annals, the Shanghai Photographers Association and the Shanghai Mass Art Center. This exhibition is held in the No. 2 and No. 3 temporary exhibition halls of World Expo Museum which covers about 1,365 square meters, for one month.

  The exhibition is themed “Ten Years: Dream Towards Future”, and displays by taking the images (including pictures and photos) as major materials, and the material objects as minor ones. The exhibition is divided into several exhibition areas to honor the Expo 2010 Shanghai to stimulate the memory as well as drive all people to keep going forward.

  The year of 2020 is the 10th anniversary of Expo 2010 Shanghai. From May 1, 2020, the World Expo Museum started to collect the pictures and stories in connection with the Expo 2010 Shanghai from the whole society which are responded widely, including but not limited to the audiences, volunteers, workers, young journalists, and babies of the Shanghai Expo, as well as foreign friends, and photographers. Until Aug. 30, more than 1,000 pictures, and more than 100 images and materials are collected. Then, more than 2,000 articles are collect. There are 3,192 pictures, 15 sets of materials (65 pieces) in total. Thus, the organization committee select some of such pictures and materials for the purpose of exhibition.

  The exhibition is carried out by the open and linear form, and totally contain eight exhibition areas, respectiely “Perface Hall”,“We· The Constructor”,“My Expo ·Public Involvement”,“Organizer ·Story Behind”,“Pieces· Vivid Recollection”,“City· Built by and for the People”,“Transformation·New Chapter”, and “WE·Dream Towards Future”. The exhibition is featured by representing the major historical story from the total new and common people’s view.
