How are mascots created?

About the author Javier Mariscal

The designer of the mascot Twipsy, Javier Mariscal, born in Valencia, Spain in 1950, is a Spanish national treasure.

Javier Mariscal exhibited his first comic character "Mr. Pony" in Valencia at the age of 19, created his first comic magazine while attending the Elisava School, and held solo exhibitions of his work called "Hotel Grande" and "100 Years with Mariscal".

In addition to the Expo mascot, the designer also created Cobi, the mascot of the 1992 Barcelona Olympics in Spain, an animal that resembles a goat and a puppy.

The China Pavilion was one of the most popular pavilions at the Expo, and traditional Chinese cultural programs such as kung fu, acrobatics and folk music performed by cultural groups from China won the applause of the audience.
