Today our journey of ?theOngoingHistory:fromShanghaiToMilano? is with Pavilion Holland! In Expo2010, the Netherlands made its appearance along an entire street under the theme “Happy Street”. In this design, many different functions were combined in buildings using the best examples in various Dutch architectural styles: different types of houses, a factory, offices, cinema, workshop, a football field, a farm, warehouse, water tank-station, a greenhouse, a bank, a sand dredger and even the typical Dutch countryside was represented with it’s canals and grasslands, cows and sheep.
This time in Expo2015, the Netherlands reveals itself under the theme “Share, Grow, Live”. The fair-type tents and a greenhouse provide the backdrop for an exhibition about food issues such as food security and safety, use of water, land and energy, technology and health. But there’s more: food trucks with traditional and experimental Dutch fare as well as daily events: performances, tastings, games and contests.
