On Oct. 17, local time of Milano, the Mascot Mishka of Russia Pavilion came to World Expo Museum Pavilion!
Mishka was the official mascot of Russia Pavilion for this Expo Milano. As a widely known animal in Russia, bear is also the symbol of Russian people, appearing in many Russian fairy tales (e.g. the famous Martha and the Bear); therefore, for this Expo Milano, the bear was also used to design the mascot for Russia Pavilion.
Not long ago, the staff of the World Expo Museum in Milano had a negotiation with Russia Pavilion on the matters of donation. Jiang Sha, Curator of World Expo Museum Pavilion, introduced the significance of constructing the World Expo Museum and the work related to the exhibits collection for Expo Milano. The Russian party said that they would give a positive support to the exhibits-collecting work of our pavilion and agreed to donate the mascot Mishka to our pavilion as an exhibit on the spot.
Mishka had toured around China Pavilion, Germany Pavilion, Morocco Pavilion, South Korea Pavilion, Hungary Pavilion, Switzerland Pavilion and other Expo pavilions before she finally came to World Expo Museum Pavilion.
Mishka would soon come to Shanghai, China, and reside in the World Expo Museum!
