Themed by the "dining hall", Vanke Pavilion in Expo Milano took the "dragon" as its architectural image, making the whole pavilion look like a red dragon taking off. The exterior facade of Vanke Pavilion was covered by more than 4,000 red ceramic plates which looked as if they were flashy dragon scales in the sun. All the scraps and waste water produced in the production of ceramic plates were re-used after being re-processed, and the energy for kilning was provided by the methane, which, therefore, could minimize the impacts on the environment. This time, Vanke Pavilion donated one piece of "dragon scale" ceramic plates, autographed by Vanke Chairman Wang Shi, to the World Expo Museum.
