Liu Xiuhua, General Representative of World Expo Museum Pavilion, awarded the donation certificate to Sergey Bondarenko, Curator of Russia Pavilion.
The exhibit donated by Russia Pavilion--Mishka, the mascot of Russia Pavilion, designed with three elements: the Russian bear, the matryoshka doll and the tumbler.
Russia Pavilion, in the shape of an exuberant mountain, was surrounded by the organic timber structures. The front "nasal tip" looked like a sailing ship. The hanging garden at the upper layer of the construction reminded of the magnificence of Ancient Babylon, while the whole construction symbolized the Noah's Ark. The symbolic meaning of this modern building also lied in attracting people's attention to the issues related to regeneration of resources through the reappearance of the scenes of ancient civilization.
