World Expo Museum Pavilion in Expo Milano Receives 360,000 Person-Times of Visitors

The six-month-long Expo Milano 2015 ended successfully on Oct.31. During the period, World Expo Museum Pavilion in Expo Milano received more than 360,000 person-times of visitors from China and other countries. Synchronizing with Expo Milano, the Pavilion also held the closing ceremony at the very night.

Liu Xiuhua, General Representative of World Expo Museum Pavilion in Expo Milano, spoke highly of the contributions made by all staff and service teams and expressed her heartfelt thanks to them. She said, participating in Expo Milano was one of the important tasks of the World Expo Museum to fulfill the mission as the official museum of International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE), to inherit the Expo legacies and spirits and to realize its own sustainable development. During the six-month-long exhibition, all the staff of the World Expo Museum united as one to overcome the difficulties related to languages, life, disease, etc. and devoted heart and soul to the front work. At the same time, they carried out the cultural exchanges with all the exhibitors effectively and fulfilled all the exhibition tasks as required successfully.

By the end of the closing, 44 countries in total had confirmed the donation, of which 38 had completed the handover of exhibits. There had been 224 exhibits and dozens of films and documents donated accumulatively, and many domestic and foreign media having reported the World Expo Museum. All these manifest the achievements of the World Expo Museum.

At last, Liu Xiuhua distributed the souvenirs to the last group of visitors prior to the closure of the Pavilion and had a group photo for commemoration with all the staff at the site.


When the closure of the Pavilion was approaching, there was still a continuous stream of visitors coming to the exhibition.
 
The little visitor was delighted to see the Russian mascot Mishka, one of the exhibits collected.
