On Oct. 31, 2015, local time of Milano, Spain Pavilion in Expo Milano donated the exhibits to the World Expo Museum. Carmelo Garcia Ollauri, Director of Financial Resources of Spanish Cultural Activity Center (AC/E), Gustavo Weiska, Curator of Spain Pavilion, and Jiang Sha, Curator of World Expo Museum Pavilion in Expo Milano, were present at the donation ceremony.

Spain Pavilion aimed to display the integration between the traditional Spanish food and the modern creative cuisine. The whole exterior space of the pavilion was seemingly telling the traditional Spanish cuisine, using varieties of materials for the decoration, such as wine bottle stoppers, oak barrels, thatch braided fabric (used to filtrate the olive oil).
At the entrance of the pavilion was a multimedia artistic installation named "The Journey of Taste" created by Artist Antoni Miralda. Those suitcases were a metaphor for the commencement of a food journey and also one of the exhibits donated by Spain Pavilion.
