Today, JSC “NC “Astana EXPO-2017” held a meeting with the representatives of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The participants of the meeting discussed accreditation and security issues during the International Exhibition EXPO-2017.

Yerbol Shormanov, the Deputy Chairman of the Board, spoke about the main steps of the work done by the National Company. He stressed that all activities are on schedule and the work is being accomplished in all areas.

“Preparations for the Exhibition are in full swing. From 31 October, we started providing the international pavilions to the Participants. Special attention is paid to ensuring our visitors’ safety. For this, we thoroughly studied the international experience of holding such events in Shanghai, Yeosu, Milan and the sport competitions in Sochi and Baku,” said Ye. Shormanov.

In December this year, we are already launching the EXPO-2017 accreditation system. The call centre will also start functioning. All the exhibition facilities are equipped with modern video surveillance systems, fire and burglar alarms. A special logistics scheme was designed for comfortable transportation of the Exhibition visitors and guests. The fire brigade and medical support will work day and night.

Ambassador of Egypt to Kazakhstan Haytham Salah Ibrahim (Haitham Jakah Kamel) in turn greeted the EXPO-2017 preparations.

“Allow me to stress that after we officially confirmed our participation in the Exhibition, we have done huge work together with the National Company. I am sure that the exhibition will be organized at a high level. I would also like to note that many companies in our country are interested in participating at EXPO-2017,” said the Ambassador.

To date, 106 countries and 17 international organizations have officially confirmed their participation in EXPO-2017.
