Today in Astana , a meeting was held between Akhmetzhan Yessimov, the Board Chairman of JSC “NC “Astana EXPO-2017” and Karla Šlechtová, the Minister of Regional Development of the Czech Republic.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the Czech participation at the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO-2017.

A. Yessimov briefed the Czech delegation on the final preparations for the International Exhibition "EXPO-2017".

“We are pleased that the Czech Republic will present its vision regarding the use of renewable energy sources at our Exhibition. I’m sure it will strengthen friendly relations between our countries and expand tourism opportunities in both the countries” - said Akhmetzhan Yessimov.

“Kazakhstan raises one of the most important issues in the world – use of alternative energy sources. We are happy to present our latest technologies in this area, because our Ministry is closely involved in this issue. On 15 July 2017, we will hold the National Day of the Czech Republic at the Exhibition", - said the Minister.

 According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, the share of RES in the Czech Republic is 13%. The Czech Republic was assigned an individual pavilion with an area of 292.5 square meters.

To date, 106 countries have confirmed their participation in EXPO-2017 Astana, 101 countries have appointed their commissioners, 90 countries have signed participation contracts.

We remind you that the International Specialized Exhibition will be held in Astana from 10 June to 10 September 2017, where more than 2 million visitors and 5 million visits are expected.
