Project Name: Full DOF Microphotography
This project is spurred by the embarrassing fact that fromExpo Shanghai to ExpoYeosu,ExpoMilan and ExpoAstana, the resolution or clarity of multimedia content lagged behind display devices in the exhibition halls. Moreover, the current mainstream 4K display devices will soon be replaced by 8K display devices.
1.7 Billion Pixel Photo ofPapilio Memnon
The low resolution of pictures of exhibits restricts the desired visual effect on high-definition display devices. Therefore, after consulting industry experts,World Expo Museum is committed to developing advanced technology applications combining innovations in various fields. With this new application, World Expo Museum has taken giga-pixel photos of some special and precious exhibits, and the depth of field (DOF) is sufficient to guarantee the high resolution of the photos. This is also a response to the current trend of digitalizing museums.

The development of this new application has made remarkable progress. Super macro images of 6CM*6CM*2CM exhibits and specimens have been captured with a resolution of over 1 billion pixels. In the future, World Expo Museum will take static and 3D photos of micro exhibits, naturall specimens, fossils and ore. Through this project, optical microscope won't be the only tool to observe certain exhibits while innovative applications will be developed for small exhibits and rare specimens.
