On June 1, which is the International Children’s day, the World Expo Museum (WEM) arranged special activities dedicated to children and gave them the joy of study and seasonal celebrations.
WE Kids: Expo Game
Teacher Linqiu introduces the funny moments of Expos to kids and lets them understand the Expo through music.
Teacher Johnny begins his class with the aid of Super Team to tell kids the basic concepts of the new energy.
Online Class
In addition to the kids in Shanghai, the WEM also brought a Children’s Day gift to the kids in Sichuan Province through the Internet.
On June 1, invited by the organization department of Mao Country of Sichuan Province, the WEM, in cooperation with Sichuan Museum, prepared a special themed activity to the kids in Panchuan Village, Nanxin Town, Mao County. The activity was called “Colorful Panchuan, Joyful Childhood”.
At 9am, 35 kids from the village gathered in the party committee of the said village and were excited to connect with the WEM.
Teacher Huang Luyao brought to the kids her class “Moe Story” with an aim to let the kids have an idea about the history of previous World Expos and their mascots.
During the 45-minute class, through the online interactive Q&A session, the kids’ enthusiasm of learning new knowledge was fully brought up. It is believed that the kids in Sichuan Aba Prefecture will remember this lovely and special moment of the Children’s Day.
WEM & One Class in Childhood
Led by the trend of interconnectivity,“One Class in Childhood” is an online class assisted by new technologies, aiming to let the students in remote mountainous areas have the opportunity to “know what is going on in this world” through the distance education platform.
The WEM will continue to integrate resources of advanced areas and carry on the Expo spirit. By practicing charity, the museum is striving to improve the rural education in China and develop the distance education.
WEM’s special activities to celebrate the Children’s Day shortened the distance between WEM and education.
