  On December 9, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade(CCPIT) held the training for the 2020 National Expo work through a online webcast. Zhang Shenfeng, vice chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Chief Representative of China of Bureau International des Expositions, attended the opening ceremony of the training course.

  Zhang Shenfeng said that since 2017, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and relevant departments has comprehensively promoted China's participation in Expo 2020 Dubai. As the first World Expo after the COVID-19, Expo 2020 Dubai has become more significant in terms of building consensus and responding to human challenges. It also puts forward higher expectations and requirements for the CCPIT to do well in the preparation of China participation and event organization. The Expo will try a new model of online and offline, interaction and integration, using modern methods to further expand the Expo's impact.

  Director of the World Expo Museum Liu Xiuhua was invited as an expert to give lectures on the history, development and significance of the World Expo. Liu Xiuhua introduced the development and evolution of the World Expo and its effects. She said that in recent years, the attention of the World Expo has evolved from the pursuit of scale to the pursuit of creativity, enhancing connotation and quality. In the context of the global epidemic, the theme of "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future" of the Dubai Expo has more practical significance. Then, she shared the highlights of the Dubai Expo, including pavilions and programs, series of theme weeks, global best practice projects, and EXPO LIVE projects. Finally, in conjunction with the World Expo Museum, it focuses on the future, pays attention to youth, actively participates in activities such as the UAE Youth Ambassador Project, and puts forward thoughts and suggestions on participating in the Dubai Expo.

  This training aims to help relevant provinces, districts, cities, enterprises and institutions across the country fully understand the World Expo, foreign affairs publicity and other conditions and work requirements, fully grasp the knowledge and skills of event organization, exhibition design, new media publicity, etc, and make better use of the Expo platform Expand foreign exchanges and cooperation. The training content mainly includes: the new features of current public diplomacy, the history and development of the World Expo, the preparations for the China Pavilion at the Dubai Expo and relevant work suggestions, the new features of China-Arab economic and trade work, and the organization of World Expo activities, exhibition design, and new media publicity. Representatives of local governments, associations and related organizations participating in the Dubai World Expo, representatives of enterprises participating in and serving the World Expo, and media representatives participated in the online training.
