The results of the 16th Shanghai Silver Pigeon Award were announced recently. The "Expos: A Microcosm of Civilization--A Collection of Archive Studies on Permanent Exhibition if the World Expo Museum" won the best publication award of the 16th Shanghai Silver Pigeon Award.

The Silver Pigeon Award, sponsored by the Publicity Ministry of ShangHai Municipal committee of CPC , aims to promote Shanghai's cultural exchanges with foreign countries, strengthen the construction of Shanghai's international communication capacity and improve the effect of international communication.

The "Expos: A Microcosm of Civilization"  is one of the official bilingual publications of the Expo. Based on extensive research and textual research, the book gives a detailed review of the 100-year history of the Expo. As the first bilingual Chinese and English publication on the history of the World Expo, the publication reflects the positive contribution of China and Shanghai to the Cause of the World Expo.

The design concept of the "Expos: A Microcosm of Civilization"  is to recreate a museum that condenses the century-old Expo, to tell a brief history of the century-old Expo and to briefly view the century-old Expo on paper. The book is not only an extension of the permanent exhibition of the World Expo Museum, but also reflects the authoritative interpretation of the history of the Expo by the Bureau international Des Expositions and its experts. It has important academic reference value in the professional field of the Expo in China and abroad, and is also a vivid carrier to spread the image of the World Expo Museum and Shanghai.

The book was also selected for the annual theme unit of the 17th Asia-pacific Design Yearbook in 2021.
