The fourth unit "Meow’ Bonding 'Hello Shanghai'" will display selected paintings and photography works. The exhibition is extended to the outside of the exhibition hall, where the" Precious History of Cats' Early Taming of Humans" is spelled out in short cat-loving stories of famous figures in history. These cats are also the "Special Guests" of this exhibition, who can guide the audience to doodle, read jokes, and walk towards the exhibition hall step by step. In addition, there is a giant air model of the cat star "Tuantuan", for the audience to take pictures of. The exhibition uses multimedia visual display, and provides the audience with an "immersive" feeling through a panoramic interactive experience of sight, touch, sound and taste.
It is reported that naive art, also known as primitive art, is one of the most direct expressions of the artist's pursuit of emotion. It appeared in the late 19th century and early 20th century, Influenced by Bergson's "intuition theory", it is a genre of art created by artists represented by Henri Rousseau and centered in Paris, France in the early 20th century. In their creation, they abandoned the expression technique of the traditional genre in the past and pursued the expression form naturally formed in the primitive art, and tried to express the innocence and simplicity of human beings through direct and simple impressions. Thus, it gives the most direct inspiration and influence to the emotional pursuit in contemporary painting, and provokes the viewer to think about the nature of life. The content of naive art is close to daily life, reflecting people's lives, thoughts and feelings, and is in line with the theme of the World Expo. The introduction of naive art is that in the post-epidemic era, the World Expo Museum recommends easy-to-understand humanities and arts to citizens, looks at the city from a different perspective, and perceives "better life", from which people can gain a new interesting experience and start a journey of healing.
The outstanding Belarusian contemporary artist Rimashevsky Igor Vileorovich specializes in surveying everything around him with a clear and delicate eye, and is committed to conveying his ideas through naive artistic brushstrokes. The artist has a fondness for cats in his life, and the cats in his paintings are very distinctive and are also frequent visitors in his works. Based on the naive art paintings of Igor, this exhibition constructs a ''Meow Star League'' from his works, observing and telling the story of human beings and the city through the perspective of cats. The members of the Meow Star Leaguer: Tuantuan, Beet, Leopard, and Tiger are the protagonists of the story, with their own personalities and characteristics, and are also the epitome of people living in the city today. In the process of experiencing Meow's Wonderland, the audience can re-appreciate the city they live in, and like Igor, slow down to feel the splendor, kindness and anything surprising in life.
It is worth mentioning that Igor has been associated with the World Expo as early as 2010, when his paintings were selected for the main visual system and display tone of the Belarus Pavilion of the Shanghai World Expo. The theme of Belarus Pavilion at Shanghai World Expo 2010 is: Culture Diversity in the City; Economic Well-being in the City; Scientific and Technical Innovations in the City; Improvement of Living Condition; Urbanization. It aims to demonstrate Belarus' efforts in creating comfortable living conditions and the people's feelings for this city, and display the development concept of harmonious coexistence between man and nature and creating a better urban life to a deeper level.
