The Treasure of the LAS Pavilion
——League of Arab States: 75 Years of the Pan-Arab Action
With the theme of "One Thousand and One Keys", the LAS Pavilion showed the audience the achievements of the Arab League over the past 70 years, which was impressive. This book is a precious historical material witnessing the development history of the Arab League. It is huge and weighs more than 70 kilograms. The book is so big that one person cannot move it. It was compiled by the Arab League Information and Documentation Center from more than 5,500 documents related to the Arab joint action process. These documents are all from the Egyptian Cairo Al-Ahram newspaper's reports from the beginning of the Arab League in 1942 to 2020. Among them, the copy from 1942 to 2015, followed by the original newspaper. This book was only exhibited in the LAS Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai. After the World Expo, the Arab League donated it to the World Expo Museum.
This book is part of the Arab League’s document digitization project. In 2014, the Arab League’s ministerial meeting made a document digitization resolution, it aims to preserve the historical documents of the Arab joint action process since the emergence of the concept of the Arab League in 1942 by integrating information technology and high-definition digital document technology.
