The 2023 Doha Horticultural Expo will be held from October 2, 2023 to March 28, 2024. It is the first A1 international horticultural expo held in Qatar and the Middle East and North Africa. The theme is "Green Desert, Beautiful Environment").

　　On October 2, 2023 local time, the 2023 Doha World Horticultural Expo opened in the capital of Qatar, AL BIDDA Park on the Corniche Avenue in the center of Doha. On October 3, 2023, the Doha World Horticultural Expo was officially opened to the public.

　　In an interview with Secretary-General of Doha Expo 2023, Muhammad Ali Al Kohli said that since its opening on October 2, the number of visitors to the Expo in its first month has reached nearly 500,000. He added that the Expo is very popular among Qatar people and is also popular among international tourists who are interested in learning about the Expo’s themes or visiting their country’s pavilions.

　　As of press time, the number of visitors to the 2023 Doha Expo has exceeded 600,000.

　　In the park, you can see Qatar’s date palm trees. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) added “date palm trees”(and related knowledge, skills, traditions and customs) to the Representative List of Intangible Culture of Humanity.

　　The 2023 Doha Horticultural Expo Organizing Committee has also set up a special exhibition area for Chinese intangible cultural heritage and fine arts to display representative works of Chinese artists and hold theatrical performances. It is expected that more than 80 performances by local Chinese and overseas Chinese will be held here.
