¡¡¡¡In 2025, Osaka will be the site of a World Expo that will take place after 55 years since 1970.

¡¡¡¡A series of celebratory events are being held in honor of the one-year countdown to the opening of the Osaka World Expo!

ͼƬ

¡¡¡¡As a refresher, the Osaka-Kansai Expo will be held from April 13 to October 13, 2025, a total of 184 days, and will be held on Yumeshima, an artificial island in Osaka Bay, in accordance with the Convention on International Exhibitions, which stipulates that the duration of the exposition must not be shorter than six weeks or longer than six months.

¡¡¡¡After obtaining the right to host the World Expo in 2018, the project began with the consolidation of development resources from various sectors, and on April 13, 2023, construction began on the main venue where the world's largest circular wooden building will be constructed!

ͼƬ

¡¡¡¡A total of 1,898 entries were received for the official mascot of the Osaka Expo 2025, and after a careful selection process,"MYAKU-MYAKU" was selected as the winner which looks strange at first glance but becomes more and more appealing the more you look at it.

ͼƬ

¡¡¡¡The "MYAKU-MYAKU" image continues the theme of the exhibition, presenting the symbol of Osaka's water capital and its ever-changing appearance, ymbolizing the infinite possibilities of the future.

¡¡¡¡The logo was inspired by the "Tower of the Sun," the symbol of the 1970 Osaka World Expo. The red cells are made up of circles and ellipses of various sizes and shapes, while the five blue nuclei extend from five cherry blossom petals logo of the 1970 World Expo logo, and the white portion of the logo surrounded by the red circles recalls the geographical contours of Osaka and the Kansai region.
