The official denomination in the BIE regulations is International Recognized Exhibitions.
- International Expos take place between two World Expos and have a duration of 3 months
- Participants include: countries, international organizations, NGOs, corporations and other institutions
- The size of the site is limited to 25 hectares and participants customize pavilions that are built by the organizers ·
- The theme of the International Expos must be specific, specialized, and provides the lead wire for all other dimensions: architectural, events, participation, modes of cooperation, etc.
